A Special Day,
A Special Way
Complimentary First Consultation
Darran Moran Celebrant
As an integral part of the most important day of your life, my aim is to help create wonderful, long lasting memories. With over six years of experience helping couples translate their private moments into a ceremony that is a celebration of their shared experiences, it would be my honour to do the same for you.
“ A wedding ceremony is a crossroad where two life stories intersect.” – Gerald Fierst
Unfortunately, every story must come to an end. If you are in need of a Civil Celebrant for a funeral, you can rest assured you will find the compassion and the personalised touch your loved one deserves.
Same Sex Marriages
“ Marriage, according to law in Australia, is the union of two people to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life.”
Love is love. Regardless of your gender, sexuality, race, culture or age. And your story is as unique as your love. As you enter this new chapter in your lives, let me help you tell that story to create a ceremony that you and your guests will remember forever.
Choosing the right celebrant for you is important. And because the right fit is so important, our first meeting will be somewhere that you are at ease, and is both obligation and fee free.
During this meeting you can take the time to get to know me and share a little of the story that led you to wanting to spend the rest of your lives together. From there we will look over the paperwork involved with getting married and discuss the process moving forward.
Depending on how you would like to proceed, we can fill in your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) straight away or you can take it home and talk things over.
Should you decide I am the right fit for your big day, we will arrange another meeting and I will send you all the information you need to plan your perfect ceremony.

I’m fully trained and registered by the Attorney General’s Department to perform marriages anywhere in Australia. I’ll handle all the paperwork and make sure your marriage is registered with your state’s registry. I’m also a member of the Australian Marriage Celebrants Association, a NSW Justice of the Peace and am fully insured! Basically what I’m saying is that not only have I got all the fun parts of the ceremony covered I’ve got all the boring stuff under control too!
Darran was an absolute pleasure to deal with and made sure our ceremony was tailored especially to us. Our ceremony was everything we had dreamed of thanks to Darran.
Darran made the process so easy and took care of everything for us so we could focus on planning the perfect day. He even gave us suggestions on ways to use personal stories in our ceremony.
Frequently Asked Questions
Aside from officiating civil marriage ceremonies, civil celebrants officiate baby naming ceremonies, renewals of vows, funerals, the scattering of ashes, and other life events.
The only legal requirements are the Monitum where the celebrant explains what marriage is and the part of your vows starting with ‘I call upon the persons here‘. Both of which are explained here.
